As a life time resident of Calderdale and spending the last 13 years living in the town of Elland, I have come to appreciate our part of the world, its green spaces, diverse cultures and welcoming people.
As your local councillor I would do my best to preserve our green belt, opposing inappropriate building on green belt land, which would only add to congestion and air pollution. Green spaces have become very important to our lives whilst living through the pandemic. I would campaign to ensure Clay house park and other spaces are kept clean and safe for our children and residents.
Above all else however, climate change is the biggest threat to us, our children and all we take for granted. As a green councillor I would strive to make sure the environment and climate change is always at the heart of the decisions the council has to make.
