I am the Green Party candidate for Greetland and Stainland. I have lived in Calderdale all my life and in Norland for the last 37 years. I am now retired but my working life was as a midwife and a midwifery teacher. My passion now is gardening especially growing my own fruit and veg.
I believe in social justice and improving the environment. These issues have never been more important because they are central to reducing the risks of future pandemics and climate change. I joined the Green Party a couple of years ago because they were the only party putting these issues centre stage.
At local level I would like to see a focus on improving the lives of the most vulnerable through good public transport links, access to green spaces, good quality housing and excellent social services.
