As a part-rural ward, our area suffers from speeding traffic on roads outside its main built up areas. Residents have highlighted issues on Westercroft Lane (Northowram), Shibden Hall Lane near Claremount and South Lane in Shelf. The situation at South Lane is worsened by speed limits on the road moving from 20mph to 60mph halfway up the road.
Martin says:
A 60mph limit is totally wrong on a small road so close to a residential area. I’ll be asking for speed limits to reduce, here and across the ward.
