Strong support has emerged for a ‘School Streets’ scheme around St Michael’s Primary School.
Helped by local resident Rob Pringle and the Green Party team, Martin Hey has been canvassing residents’ views regarding the school traffic on the Greenacres Estate in Shelf.
Feedback from 85 residents showed that:
Martin commented:
“We had a great response on the doorsteps. Everyone on the estate wants to improve the situation for residents and children alike, and we’ve had lots of really creative suggestions. We’ll look to engage the Council and start improving the situation in and around the school.”
