The Green Party candidates, Jackie Haigh and Freda Davis, both came third, keeping the LibDems into fourth place, in the by-elections held in Park and Ryburn on 3 September 2021. This was our best result ever in Park and our best result in Ryburn since 2014.
In Park the bounce which the Tories had experienced in the May local council elections has totally evaporated and the proportion of votes gained by all parties except the Green Party, which increased its share of the vote, was in line with results prior to 2021.
