We normally meet on the first Tuesday of each month at various venues around Calderdale, at 7:30 pm.
The meeting may be an open meeting to which non-members are welcome, an informal or a more formal discussion of a range of issues or a formal business meeting at which members make decisions about the direction of the party. But, as our membership has grown by over six times since the beginning of 2014, we are having more informal and social meetings between the monthly meetings.
Members receive a regular Bulletin which includes news, events, agendas and minutes.

There is a Calderdale Green Party meeting on the draft Calderdale Local Plan in The Town Hall, Hebden Bridge, 7.30pm Tuesday 19th Sept.
We think there needs to be a space not dominated by our MP - who has hosted various public meetings on the draft local plan - where people can discuss the draft and work out how best to get key points across in the public consultation which ends soon.
All are welcome. The Green party is hosting it for everyone. More details and a flyer in News.
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard for us in the General Election. Though the Green Party suffered from tactical voting in the General Election, our supporters came out in support of Angharad Turner and Barry Crossland in the local council elections.
So we are having a post election social from 7.30 pm on Friday, 16 June 2017 at the Bare Arts, 108-110 Rochdale Road, Todmorden OL14 7LP. All welcome whether or not you supported us in the elections.
We are ending our general election campaign with a public meeting at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 6th June at Hebden Bridge Town Hall, St George’s St, Hebden Bridge HX7 7BY where all are welcome to talk about the Green Party environment manifesto and how to effectively continue our climate and environment campaigns to turn Calderdale Green.
It would be great to see you there and hear your ideas and views.
We have been pursuing a twin track approach to the snap General Election. On the one hand, we are taking forward the decision made in February to seek a progressive alliance based on a commitment to PR; on the other, we are selecting candidates for both the Calder Valley and the Halifax constituencies in case such an alliance does not materialise.
The hustings for these candidates will take place at 7.30 pm on Tuesday, 2 May 2017 at The Wharf Cafe Bar, Wharf Street, Sowerby Bridge HX6 2LA.
This is a members only meeting.
All are welcome to a public discussion with local people and Calderdale Council’s Senior Environmental Health Officer, Ryan Carroll, at Christ Church, Leeds Road, Hipperholme HX3 8AA. Ryan Carroll sends apologies and is unable to come to the meeting.
We need to cut air pollution in Calderdale. In seven areas, called Air Quality Management Areas, traffic-caused air pollution exceeds legal limits for Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Particulate Matter (PMn).
Biomass/Wood burning and incinerators are also becoming an air pollution issue.
Government rulings mean local planning policies relating to air quality have essentially been set aside, leaving only Policy EP1 Protection of Air Quality.
Calderdale Council is preparing its air quality strategy and action plan. It’s vital that it includes practical measures to improve air quality in Brighouse, Copley Valley at Salterhebble and Bolton Brow, Hebden Bridge, Hipperholme, Luddenden Foot, Sowerby Bridge and Stump Cross, Halifax.
All are welcome to discuss how bad the problem is and practical ways of solving it.
We are trying to get an idea of people's views on air pollution in Calderdale. To help us, please complete the following brief survey.
Here is an A5 flyer to print and display in your window or anywhere else where people will see it.
